Feeding and Eating Disorder
When an individual does not take in enough food to provide the necessary nutrition, calories, and/or hydration required for the body.
Children with feeding disorders may also develop slower and experience behavioral problems. There can be difficulty swallowing foods or liquids starting from the throat.
Swallowing involves many nerves and muscles in the mouth that can be compromised therefore causing blockage of the throat as a whole.
In this case we use a combination of:
- Reflex Integration to address the dysfunctional reflexes
- Hemispheric Integration to address the undeveloped area of the brain that needs the most support
- Speech and Feeding therapy to address sucking, swallowing, speech and communication challenges
In addition to other cutting-edge techniques to get the best results.
